Barking Owl 2006 Chardonnay from Millbrook Winery WA is one of those wines that are truly a rising star providing excellent value being rated 5 stars by Winestate magazine.

Medium to full-bodied, this wine displays a rich melon and stone fruit intensity that is aptly supported by spicy, vanillin oak leading to a dry finish. Produced by the Millbrook winery situated in the historic town of Jarrahdale, 50 minutes south east of Perth in the Perth Hills district. The winery is nestled amongst virgin Jarrah forests. With its spectacular restaurant setting, this is one of the most stunning vineyards in WA.

The name is inspired by the Barking Owls that live in the forests surrounding the Millbrook vineyard. On a moonlit night these nocturnal creatures can often be seen perched at the end of the vineyard rows.
